Covering 90% of the front panel, the screen enhances the user experience and video viewing. The touch version is however optional. On the other hand, the power button is located at the top right of the keyboard and also serves as a fingerprint reader. This sensor is distinguished by its reactivity.

Finally, the chassis is made of anodized aluminum and thus helps to limit fingerprints on the device.

What’s new compared to other MateBooks ?

The Huawei MateBook 16s computer is among the first models of the brand to adopt a 12th generation Intel Core CPU. As a reminder, the MateBook 16 is equipped with an AMD Ryzen 7 5800H processor. Yet it served as the basis for the 16 s. In addition, this laptop was launched a few months before the MateBook 16s.

The manufacturer has also made significant improvements in the management of heating.

In terms of design, this model brings the power button closer to the hinge instead of integrating it with the speaker cover. The MateBook 16s also marks the return of the lens on the front, at the top of the screen. On previous models, the retractable camera was placed between the F6 and F7 keys.

This area now hosts a button to activate voice input and the Huawei Assistant.

The MateBook 16s also features a 1080p webcam, compared to only 720p for its predecessors. This upgrade is particularly popular with tutorial creators and teleworkers. In addition, the webcam management system can track the user’s movements or display a predefined background.

This is a new software in the catalog of the brand.

Huawei laptops in full expansion

The Huawei MateBook 16s computer will join the Chinese giant’s catalog in the summer of 2022. It is released simultaneously with the latest version of the MateBook D16. Thus, the manufacturer has so far a dozen high-performance models in its range of laptops.
